Anurag Acharya

Anurag Acharya is a distinguished engineer at Google. He is a co-creator of Google Scholar. Previously, he led the indexing group at Google. He has a bachelor’s in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon. Prior to joining Google, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Maryland, College Park and an assistant professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
