Helen Briggs

Helen Briggs is a journalist and broadcaster at BBC News, specializing in health, science, environment and medicine. She has covered everything from decoding the human genome to the Ebola outbreak and has interviewed numerous leading scientists and policymakers, including government ministers and Nobel Prize winners. Outside of the BBC, Helen teaches journalism at the University of Westminster as a visiting lecturer. She holds a Master of Philosophy (medical faculty) and Bachelor of Science degree (biochemistry and genetics) from Newcastle University. She was a Journalist Fellow at Oxford University in 2014.
