Natasha Mitchell

Natasha Mitchell is a multi-award winning science journalist and radio host with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), presenting flagship national programs including Life Matters (2012-16), and she is the founder of the popular science and psychology show All in the Mind (2002-12). She leads the ABC’s new science podcast and project “Science Friction.” Natasha served as board member and vice president of the World Federation of Science Journalists (2009-13) and was co-editor of The Best Australian Science Writing 2013. She was the recipient of an MIT Knight Fellowship (2005-06). Her work has been recognized with the overall Grand Prize and four Gold World Medals at the New York Radio Festivals, four Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Broadcast Media Awards, amongst other awards. She is a member of the executive advisory board of Women in Science Australia (2016). Natasha has an engineering degree with first-class honors from Monash University and a postgraduate diploma in science communication from the Australian National University. She regularly facilitates events, debates and public forums around Australia, including three science dialogues with the Dalai Lama and leading scientists.
