Learn why California is “Earthquake Country” and how scientists are studying earthquakes and active faults in the Bay Area. Join USGS research scientists in the field to observe local faults and their effects on the landscape. Destinations include the SF Peninsula, south of San Francisco, to see the famous San Andreas Fault and view USGS scientific instruments and field studies.
