UC Berkeley Campus and Lab Tours

Choose among several UC Berkeley tour options. Space is limited and available on a first come first served basis. Sign-ups will occur on campus when you arrive on Sunday, October 29. During online registration, choose the “Sessions, lunch, and tours @ UC Berkeley” option and pick your Lunch with a Scientist option.

1. Experience the world of advanced robotics in person at two of the most innovative robotics labs at UC Berkeley. Professors Ken Goldberg and Ronald Fearing will demonstrate their pioneering technologies in machine learning, biomimicry, artificial intelligence and human-machine interactions.

Goldberg Lab: 1:30 – 3:15 or 3:30 – 4:45. Fearing Lab: 1:30 – 3:15 or 3:30 – 4:45. Limited to 20 people per tour on a first come, first served basis.

2. Join Berkeley faculty on an afternoon tour of the Richmond Field Station (off campus), where scientists are working on the latest in large-scale engineering, seismology and environmental research.

2:00 – 5:00; limited to 20 people on a first come, first served basis.

3. Tour the UC Berkeley campus with student ambassadors, visiting the campus’s iconic bell tower, or campanile; Sproul Plaza, the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement; Memorial Stadium, the Cal Bears’ football arena that straddles an earthquake fault; and much more.
