Visit the state-of-the-art Gladstone Institutes, an academically affiliated research enterprise next to UCSF’s Mission Bay Campus, where Gladstone scientists will demonstrate cutting-edge research techniques in stem cell biology and neuroscience. See beating stem-cell-derived heart cells, and a revolutionary robotic microscope that has the ability to track individual neurons in real time for weeks or even months to observe the process of neurodegeneration.

UCSF’s nearby Human Performance Center is a unique facility specialized in understanding athletic performance through advanced technologies such as motion-capture systems and a special floor with embedded force platforms that allow researchers to analyze a dancer’s jump, a tennis player’s swing or a runner’s gait.

Choose one tour: 2:15 – 3:30 pm or 4:00 – 5:15 pm.
