Biography
Trained as a biologist, Cécile Klingler specializes in life sciences, health, and science and society topics. Perspectives from her recent investigation of France’s vaccine hesitancy are published in the French popular science magazine La Recherche. For 14 years, she was in charge of the biology-medicine section at La Recherche, keeping a watchful eye on fundamental research as well as the political and social debates surrounding GMOs, gene editing, pesticides, drug pricing and vaccines. She switched to freelancing two years ago, developing skills in data journalism and data visualization. In 2016, she cofounded PixScience, a science information design agency. She still writes as a freelancer about her favorite topics.
