Biography

Pulitzer-prize winning writer Deborah Blum is the publisher of the digital science magazine Undark. She is the author of five popular science books, including The Poisoner’s Handbook, which was a New York Times best seller and the subject of an American Experience documentary on PBS. She has written for a wide range of publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time, Discover, Wired, The Wall Street Journal and Scientific American. She is a member of the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing (USA), a past-president of the National Association of Science Writers (USA) and a former board member of the World Federation of Science Journalists. She serves as program chair for the 2017 World Conference of Science Journalists.
