Science journalist, détecteur de rumeurs, Agence Science-Presse

Biography

Eve Beaudin has been a journalist for 15 years. She began her career as a television reporter specializing mostly in environmental issues for Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec and TV5, among others. She was also a science columnist for numerous radio programs on Radio-Canada Première, where she focused mainly on debunking food and health myths. Early 2017 marked Eve’s debut at the news service Agence-Science Presse as the titular investigator at Détecteur de Rumeurs (Rumor Detector), arguably the only known Francophone fact-checking site dedicated exclusively to science. Eve is also involved in various media-education projects, giving lectures in high schools and colleges, in hopes of helping students discern real from fake news.
