Biography
Mandi Smallhorne has been a freelance journalist in South Africa for over 20 years, with a focus on health, climate change, food security and social issues. She is president of both the South African Science Journalists Association and the African Federation of Science Journalists. Born and raised in South Africa, she lives in Johannesburg with her husband, three dogs, a cat and writes apocalyptic fiction in her spare time.
