Biography
The Industry Documents Library (IDL) at the University of California, San Francisco collects and preserves internal documents created by major tobacco, drug and chemical companies related to their advertising, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and scientific research activities. As library specialist, Rachel assists researchers through search workshops and webinars, provides reference services, acquires and describes new documents, and heads web archiving projects for IDL. Rachel holds an MLIS from California State University, San Jose. She is a member of the Society of California Archivists and Society of American Archivists and has worked with UCSF since 1994.
