Biography

Alan Boyle is aerospace and science editor for GeekWire, a Seattle-based website focusing on technology and science. Before joining GeekWire in 2015, Boyle was the longtime science editor for NBCNews.com and MSNBC.com. He is the president of the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing, and the author of The Case for Pluto: How a Little Planet Made a Big Difference. He has received professional awards from the National Academies, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Association of Science Writers, IEEE-USA and the Space Frontier Foundation. An Iowa native, Boyle currently lives in the Seattle area.
